Services we provide at DSL

We provide care to the following groups:

  • People aged over 65
  • Adults with learning disabilities
  • Adults with physical disabilities
  • Adults with specialist care requirements

The frequency and level of service ranges from occasional short term visits through to night sitting duties and 24-hour live-in care.

Some of the services we can provide include:

  • Personal care
  • Assistance with getting in and out of bed
  • Help dressing and undressing
  • Assistance with bathing and showering
  • Help with toileting
  • Preparation of meals and drinks
  • Administration of medication
  • Light house duties, such as laundry and vacuuming
  • General companionship
  • Accompanied visits
  • Shopping

As well as support with home-based personal care and daily living tasks, we can assist with errands, managing personal finances and accompanying people who want to get out for leisure, social, health or work purposes.

We can also assist with:

  • Continence management
  • Befriending
  • Safety in the home
  • Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment
  • Mobility and the use of aids and equipment
  • Rehabilitation and re-ablement care
  • Palliative and end of life care
  • Hospital discharge care
  • Respite care
