Community Nurse Job AD

We are looking for dedicated, knowledgeable, organised and friendly Registered Community Nurses, who are highly motivated, passionate and able to work autonomously, adapting their skills out into the community and wanting to make a difference and provide outstanding care to the community.

Your role as an experienced and qualified Community Nurse will take on a range of duties for your patients, including administering medication, cleaning wounds and changing dressings, assisting with doctors' examinations, Palliative care, setting up IV drips and giving injections, such as insulin.

 To be the ideal candidate for this role, you will be extremely professional and organised with previous experience working in a community nursing job, ideally with more than six months previous experience. As this has the potential to be a highly pressured role, you must be able to work under stressful situations and treat each patient with respect and sensitivity.

 Essential Requirements

  • •Full UK driving licence
  • •Access to a reliable vehicle
  • •Full nursing qualifications
  • •NMC registration

 Competency skills Required:

  • •Medicine Management
  • •Diabetes care/Insulin administration
  • •Trauma/surgical wound care/Tissue viability
  • •Syringe driver management
  • •Pressure Ulcer care
  • •Tracheostomy, ventilation, and airway care
  • •Male and female catheterisation- care of and insertion.
  • •Complete and review Clients Needs and Risk Assessments in line with CQC, NICE guidance and best practice
  • •Conducting Clinical Supervisions and assessing staff competencies
  • • monitor client care and well being
  • • Administration of IV antibiotics and cannulation.
